New to the forums and ran across this section. Fitting for my first post. I am currently in Iraq as I type this 90 days into my deployment. Just wanted to thank you all for what you do. We receive boxes from different groups all the time and they have always been highly sought after and a huge morale boost.

Thank for thinking of us and supporting us!

SS

p.s. Just bought a Harley

Default Deployment

My first deployment, 1993 Mogadishu, my OL sent me a care package. We always opened our care packages in front of everyone and I pulled out a tin of homemade cookies, 2 cartons of smokes and a letter that she sprayed with the perfume like that I like. Opened the cookies, grabbed 2 of them and put the tin on the table for all to enjoy. Took a bite and was greeted with the most awful tasting thing in the world! The look on everyone's face confirmed that they were all experiencing the same thing I was. No one spit it out or said anything until I spit mine in the trash. Wrote a letter to the OL and said thank you for everything and PLEASE DO NOT spray the letters with perfume!
