Default 150 rear tire on front

I'm gathering info and getting close to tire purchase time. I'm going to dark side the bike with a 195/60-16 CT on back for sure but I can't decide what to do up front? I want a wider tire if it will fit. I figured I might as well just go double dark from the get-go. I'll change both tires at the same time.

Anyone run a 150 wide rear up front on a touring model without major mods?

I read in that thread a bit and saw the addition of the 150 but he never specified if it was on the stock rim or not. I'd like to find a 150 to fit my 18" front if possible. I noticed some cracks in both tires last night while putting the bike up for the week. (Crap weather coming) so it looks like this may happen a little sooner than later.

Yes, It was on a stock rim with tire mounted forwards. I was very happy with the setup and would be willing to do it again on the new bike when I wear out the front tire.

150/60-18 I guess?
I really appreciate your replies on this. You're making it easier than it should be!

Default I

I've been running on a 150 rear tire on the front for over 20 thousand miles without any problems. My 205 60 16 on the rear has over 35 thousand on it and will probably get changed this year.

17 I believe. It's mounted on the stock rim 13 RGU.

For some unknown reason Battle Axes seem to be the rear tire mounted up front of choice. Not sure why that is. All I know is that I did not buck the system when I did it....
