Dark Side--Tuning The Tire
Just installed a Yoko Avid Ascend on the bike, 195/60r16. Fitment was OK, no issues there. I wanted to keep the speed at the same inaccuracy as my old OE Harley and American Elite 3 that I just removed. I put 30# in it, along with 12 oz of Ride On!. I rolled down the highway, first at 50, 60 , 70, 80 , then 90. Bike seemed OK, alittle "rumbly" the best way I could describe it, but nothing that made me paranoid. The only real issue I had was when I turned on to another street, I felt the back end wobble, not unlike that of a tire that's almost flat.
Which brings me to the question.: What do I do with the air? Go up in pressure or down in pressure?

Tire wear
Pictures may be a little deceiving , tire is mildly asymmetric and may be a little worn on road side due to road crown but for the most part it's minimal . The Avon tire next to it only has 4,000 miles compared to 15,000 on the ct, same bike, rider, roads etc. Will get an easy 30 out of ct, just for the math of it that's a savings of $2,100 in two seasons. I also pull a trailer so the ct is really a breakthrough , not having to replace a tire on a trip. Pic with trailer was before did the make over and the 180 conversion on front. Close up will give an idea of how hard I am on side walls and the ct just laughs at it.
