6,000 miles on the 195/60R16 car tire on the bike rear with the sidecar. Tire still looks like new. If it had had any motorcycle tire on it it would have been replaced by now due ti center wear.

The brand and model tire is not a big deal . What you want to avoid is so called rim protector tires. They have a side wall designed to hit the curb before rims do and that makes them a bit wider. Also you want to avoid . Also you should avoid asymmetric tire the tread design id different left and right of the center line.

The AVID is tried and proven and <$100 - It works for me. No need to go trying craziness just to end up where I should have started to begin with.

On my 2010 Street Glide, I'm running a 205/60r16 on the rear and a 150/70-18 rear tire on the front in reverse. (double dark)
Hey Bonnie Storm, I have a 2012 Street glide and wanting to go to the DS. On the 205/60r16 rear ct does the tire change the speed on the speedo or does it read the same like when the mt was on your bike? Also the 150/70-18 that is a motorcycle tire right?
