Front tire Drak side question

I've included this pic of a Stallion to see the ct on the front and how its affected by the angle and turning . I would suggest contacting an owner and get an actual idea on handling, wear, etc.
If you guys want to run a car tire up front here is the way I did the 180 front conversion, the way to do this inexpensively seems elusive but it can be done. All you need is a 5.5 rear modular wheel, a modular wheel will except many bolt on hub configurations so you can install a front hub on a rear wheel. I found a used/new Revtech rear wheel on eBay for $350, the hub is from JPcycles for $320. Choose your tire you want to mount, has to be narrower than your forks which is about 8" in to in so you need a tire no more than 7.75 overall outside width. Now since your tire is more of a square profile than a mc tire you will need to have a fender that matches, it's all about measurements. My fender is an 8" rear chopper fender from Led Sled cut to a "wrap" design for the front for $150, but if you look at Native Customs you will see they have more square-ish types. The fender will need fit and finished , by that I mean it comes as a blank as far as mounting is concerned and the fork cans need cut 1" higher on the inside so the fender doesn't touch them, easy job with die grinder then polish, they are stainless. All other parts , forks, brakes, trees can stay stock or as per your desire. The hub will come with ABS or reg. bearings as per your order and all will reassemble like you didn't change anything. So for around $1000 plus paint you can run a ct up front.

I used the 2D 16 x 5.5 for my rear Dark Side conversion.
Ordered the Hub from them too.
Excellent quality, no issues.
IIRC it was $175 for the rim and $195 for the hub.

Double dark side.... that is a REAR Motorcycle tire placed on the front with it reversed.
There are TONS of great 17" rears that will work just fine.
You reverse the rotation direction, that is because the rear direction is based on the stresses of it being a drive tire. On the front the stress is based on the braking.

So that way when riding in the rain all the water is moved to the center of the tire? That sound like great idea!
This thing about braking stress is an old wives tale. Yes because of the way the weight shifts the front tire can provide more ultimate braking power than the rear. No one is arguing with that, but we are not talking about the kind of stress required to damage a tire. Find me a single documented case of this happening in real life.
The whole idea is very close to saying you can't run car tires on the back of a bike because they were designed for cars.....
