Default Front tire Drak side question

Who has put a car tire in the front of a Rushmoore or newer . Currently front s a 130/0 17. Seems no car tire that will fit. I am assuming I will need to switch to a 16 inch wheel and make some changes ?

I have periodically looked for the elusive car tire for the front with no success. The ones I do find are those spare tire things. Certainly not something I would want to run. I have both the 17 and 18 inch rims for my SG. The rears are 16", both with car tires, and the 17 and 18 inch fronts both have wide rear motorcycle tires.

Yep that spare tire thing is a no go. I know away to do it with a 16 inch but costly. I will keep searching for a way.

I swapped out the front tire yesterday with 6,000 on it with the sidecar. It would have gone another 1,000 to 2,000 . But we are leaving on a trip that will be 3to 4,000 I would mess with that stuff while on a trip. That not bad mileage for a front on a sidecar rig.
The Car tire in the rear is working great.

Done all the time on sidecar rigs. Just most of them are not HD. Some go as far as having hubs changed on bikes to take a car wheel. Then all 3 are the same size. I will not weight in on using car tires on normal two wheel bikes.

I was looking at the front of a buddies trike and my thought why a motorcycle front tire it is a huge waste on a trike (I will include sidecars in this statement now). They would be better served by a car tire which will improve front tire grip.

One thing you can bet is if I ever find a car tire that will fit the front of my bike, it WILL be on my bike!

Current front is 130/80 17 no one make a car tire for that. But if I was to replace the wheel with a 16 inch a 195/60R16 like what is in the rear might fit. The height is as close as it gets to what the factory tire comes out to but it is about 2.5 inches wider so that could be a problem
