I tried the Darkside.....
Ran a Yokohama Avid 195-60-16 on the back of my 2016 Roadking.
While I'll admit that is one smooth running tire and I'm sure it'll last almost forever (also, it took only an ounce of weight to balance).
I find that I prefer the feel of a motorcycle tire. I'm not sayin anything bad about it, just that I prefer.
So.... If any of you want a premium tire with only 500 miles on it ( I paid $117 and it has a tread wear rating of 740)
Make me an offer and come and get it.

A buddy loaned me his bike last Friday while my Sportster was getting new tires on it (not dark side). I rode his bike from the shop about 10 mile to my physical therapy appointment, then another 8 or so miles back to my house. While his bike was parked at my house I noticed he had a car tire on the back. Bike is a Honda Pacific Coast and I was leaning pretty good into some highway cloverleaf on ramps. Having never ridden that model bike before I don't know how it would feel with a bike tire on the back, but it felt just fine with a car tire back there.

I rode my friends gold wing with a car tire. I’ve ridden several wings over the years so I know how, hey feel. What I noticed is that it takes more effort to get it to turn and to keep it leaned over. With a cycle tire it the turning effort is lower. i did notice that it had a softer ride as he ran about 28psi in it. I think he got around 20,000 miles on it. I know my other friend gets around 15,000 on his Dunlop Elites.
