loving my austone taxi tire

Dave, I ride a 2004 and am really considering the Austone. It really is about the only tire that fits . Do you have any photo's of this on your bike.
What has been the "learning curve" with the CT ?
Tire pressures you have run and how it acted and what is your typical loadout?
Any other mods to bike like the touring link, Glide pro, suspension mods.
Thanks if you can provide some more details.

36 psi feels best to me ! 45 psi feels like motorcycle tire but is a little different handling at slow parking lot speeds but not dangerous if your a seasoned rider ! Way more control on straights holds line much better in curves with a little counter steering its different but way better to me I lean and counter steer the same as before feels more stable !! Better braking picked up 3or4 MPG also and at 75mph about 200 to 300 RPM lower !! Also I have a little over 6000 miles on tire so far and just showing wear if it continues I should get 35-40000 miles before needing a new one and I am putting it on again !! Hope this helps

The car tire always wants stay upright. On a bike with a MT you "allow the bike to fall into a corner" by leaning just a little and then you pull the bike up to straighten out. On a Dark Side you "push/force/muscle" the bike into the corner, hold it there with counter steer and then allow it to "pop up" on it's own as you come out of the corner.
For me the learning curve was no big deal. I took my time and let the bike come to me. After a couple of weeks it was second nature...
Here is a link to a review I did on switching to the Dark Side...

If you decide to go Dark just be ready for all kinds of folks to suddenly become motorcycle experts and start telling you that your kids are about to become orphans....
