No Device: Gutted Cat and Tuner Question

Gutted Cat and Tuner Question
So my Bike is a 2014 Ultra Classic. I have added Rhinehart slip-ons and just picked up a de-catted head pipe. The guy that does the head pipes welds a chamber divider in place where the cat was. he claims a 12hp increase with no tuner. I think the bike still needs a tuner to add more fuel, so as not to go too lean.
I have been in contact with a guy from superchips about the vigilante tuner. He says the bike will never run right with a de0catted head pipe. Any thoughts or experience on this situation ?

Vance and Hines reports the Auto Tune feature will not work accurately on their tuners due to cross talk between the O2 sensors on the stock "de-catted" header pipe so this guy is just confirming what they say. Can you ask him why please? Every time I post this issue about Auto tune and the FP3 not working on sock de-catted pipes. I get blasted (owner pride and hard headedness mostly) by everyone and his brother about how it worked on their bikes and its just a case of Vance and Hines trying to sell me something I don't need. It would be nice to have independent conformation. Thank you
Aloha...Mike
