I've never heard of this. Maybe he unplugged the VCI after the MAP wrote to the ECM but before or while it was saving to the VCI

Cam you get him to lower your rev limiter?

I doubt its to prevent sharing, you probably have to goto shop and get him to show map on laptop, change and load to bike

Refusing to do anything?

He said he did it deliberately because the map is his intellectual property
He will lower my rev limit free but I need to take bike their ..140km round trip plus day off work for a 3 minutes job

The file is in vcI however it's missing the *.dt0 file extension ..adding the extension to file did nothing still can not open
He must have encrypted it or unplug vcI after flash and prior to file saving to vci

I'm guessing he unplugged it after the flash while it was uploading to the VCI

Guys like that kill me. He should have told you he felt that way up front. What happens if it needs to be reflashed in BFE?

He should of said something, and he should just go ahead and email you the calibration now. I do understand that school of thought though.

On another note. It really isn't great to bounce off the limiter all the time. I would watch the tach or get a shift light.

I'm guessing it can be re flashed. He just didn't load the current file to the VCI. He didn't lock the ecm

Correct ecm is not locked ..the map is locked in the vci
Honestly I'm happy with tune but had I know he was going to lock map I would've looked a tuner who doesn't lock maps
It was dishonest not to advise me prior ..nowhere is it stated that the map would be locked. If he feels that the map is his property that's fine just say so and give customers the choice
