TTS: Milwaukee 8 Testing

Well can you believe it's been a whole model year now, so here is the first of the New 2018 testing getting started again! These are the baseline runs for a 2018 CVO 117 Road Glide. Bike has about 900 miles on it and is completely STOCK at this point. Two runs in 4th gear and 2 more in 5th gear. You can see how the DynoJet dyno shows more power in 5th than it does in 4th. If I ran 6th it would even show even more but due to the limiting built into the Milwaukee Eights, it shuts the runs down way to early. I do not like to remove the VSS to fake it, as it does have an effect on the results, so this is what we have to work with.

Steve can you recommend me to a dyno facility in Southern California that can produce these types of numbers for a 2018 road glide special with stage III and tts tuner? I’m about 30 mins away from the LA area but willing to travel anywhere for a solid tune. Thanks

Remember your bike is starting life as a 107 not the 114. So I would expect some differences. Also this bike was a Stage IV not a Stage III. With that said there is a good tuner in Gardena, CA. Gene Thomason Racing. You can find his information on our web site

I understand that. I read through the whole thread and saw what a 107 to 114 is producing with a stage III and it looked to be around 114-119 hp/tq I wouldn’t mind those numbers until I drag some of this warranty out then really go after some bigger numbers and better parts. I was also reading that the stage IV was having issues with there not being any bottom end in the lower rpms could this be due to Tuning?

I take it we still have a ways to go yet with the new lumps? I was browsing the Dyno sheets to remind me, but a decent 107 TC seemed to be up around 120+/120+ with 110tq by 2500 ...although there is more to it than a dyno sheet at WOT I suppose
Or are we all adjusting expectations what with EPA and warranties and such these days?
