Stuff about UN is pretty much right on.. He don't understand tuning..

Your stuff as far as timing mods go are OK for mousy / stock cams where the motor is severely flow limited...

While Alpha - N systems don't know about VEs (volumetric efficiency ), They are very good when thinking about timing.. Say you have a CR of 10 to 1 and a VE of 60% has a dynamic compression ratio 6 to 1.. At that pressure, the volume in the combustion chamber is going to burn slower.. So it needs more timing..

OK, Here is where I am at now.
Did 2 expressway runs 110 miles each at 70 mph and a 80 mile country run ,5th gear and under, 55mph and thru 4 towns at 25 to 40 mph with some stop and go. Rolling hills, nothing too big.
Pic of new plugs after 300 miles that I installed this morning before starting. Of course I dropped one after the pic and of course the porcelain cracked.
Pics of maps after 2nd adjustment , I used these in 2nd and 3rd runs.
First run 33.4 mpg @ 70mph
Second run 34.1 mpg @70mph
Third run 35.6 mpg @ 55mph and under
Did several roll ons in different gears and no pinging/spark knock.

I did straight lines on maps thinking if problems arise I can adjust them. I did mark my throttle positions with tape.
More suggestions or comments please.

I think you are headed in the right direction.. How far you need to go is anyone's guess.. If you are running R8s, Try R6s.. Should help stop the ping with a little more timing and less fuel.. Already R6s.. you are on you own.. Might want to try playing with injector timing.

OK, thanks for the help.
Anyhow I'm starting to figure it out some now. Not much found about adding timing with TMax or how to adjust it, mostly about how to correct for knock/ping. Couldn't get any help from TMax support other than the suggestion to add some timing.
I am using R8s and don't have any pinging. Injector timing is at 380 now.
No riding today, raining.

Been damp cold rainy here for last couple weeks so not much testing.
I think I may be at the point of diminishing returns anyhow. 34 mpg seems to be max. @ steady 70 mph.
Never have got to point of ping/knock so I guess its good. Still want to dial it in better but it will have to wait til next spring as I am on my way to Florida 1st of Nov. and am taking different bikes with me.
Big thanks to those that gave me suggestions/help.
