Default VCI drivers failed to install.

Trying to install Supertuner pro software. Get the above error. This is a very clean and well maintained laptop. Deleted and restarted several times. Any thoughts?

I have tried 2 versions. 10.001.0000 and 10.002.0002. I'm using win 7 pro on a custom built Puget Systems 64 bit laptop.

Do you have local admin rights on the PC? Have you ever installed any other software on the machine?

Could always try right-clicking on the setup or what ever and choosing "install as administrator". Just a thought.

EDIT: Another thought, make sure all your Windows updates are up to date and temporarily disable any anti-virus programs that are running.

tried all those accept stopping antivirus. i'll try that. The rest of the software loads and runs, but it will not communicate with the tuner/bike.

Many have forgotten to turn on the run switch on the handlebars when bike won't connect. Make sure you are using the correct data connector as well.

Default VCI Fails to Update

Has anyone found a fix for this? I have windows 10, installed v 10.002.0002 from Harley's website and the software runs, communication is established, lower left icon lights up green and i can read the bikes vin and ecm p/n, but cannot update the VCI.
