Default ThunderMax issues

ThunderMax installed on my 2014 Street Glide Special. Very happy with results...

Polishing the bike the other night for 45 minutes, with ignition in ACC for the radio only, I noticed the O2 sensor on exhaust was burning hot. Check the front one also - same.
Checked ignition position to make sure it was on ACC, not RUN.
Went to start bike and battery barely turned over motor.... but did finally get it started.

Curious as to why the ThunderMax unit would be ON in ACC-mode and O2 sensors fired up, without engine running?
The unit is NOT hot wired in - it replaces the stock brains on the bike, so....

Suggestions / ideas?

Have you tried starting the bike in the Accessory mode? Maybe something wrong with the ignition switch?

Hey... your running wide and O2 units which are 5 wire and actually include a heater element in them. It's the running of the heater that flattened your battery.

I think that is agreed upon.. The question is why were they in an ACC mode?

Accessory mode only powers up the dash-unit ( stereo, GPS, ect )...
no headlight.
no fuel pump.

I've got a call into ThunderMax for an explanation / fix... will post asap.

There may be an issue with the Tmax where it for some reason it applied power to the o2 heaters. Thunderheart should be able to help..

Why would the heat element be "on" in ACC mode?
Ignition I can understand - but not ACC....

The ThunderMax starts taking readings from the various sensors used for the Fuel Injection as soon as acc is turned. Once you flip to run it starts the IAC taking the last of the needed information for fuel injection. Most people don’t use Acc for long periods of time without starting a bike. If you really want the skinny check out RamseySpeed.com

The run stop switch is not powered in the ignition ACC position.
