Not sure why folks are so excited to see and/or buy an overpriced device that tightly stays within the EPAs stringent emissions regs (read lean/hot).

Just loaded the updated stage 2 tune. Looking at the tables, its easy to see the tune has been richened up a fair amount = runs way better.

While I agree there are way better tuning solutions available, there is 1 reason I and countless others are running the street tuner... Warranty.

My point was since the tuning system that only allows for emissions AFR what's the difference in the system on the bike when it left the factory?
Do folks think, because it's a wide band system, it'll allow for more performance than the stock system?
Do folks think the wide band system will allow for changes outside the stock emissions as set from the factory.
And, IMO, since all this sumping and transferring with the new motor, running the bike on a dyno has a huge advantage over just street running.
IMO it's always best to quantify and verify any and all performance changes worked as advertised and there are no issues that's preventing the system from working properly.
Assuming adding this new system will take care of anything other than pull AFR into emissions limits, is, well, hoping the cost will provide something not allowed by law.

A lambda ratio of 1 (afr 14.6 for gasoline) will give the highest temperature, leaner than that will run cooler by about the same amount as running richer.

http://papers.sae.org/1999-01-0284/
In-cylinder heat flux and temperature measurements were obtained in an air-cooled four-stroke utility engine for a range of air-fuel ratios. For these measurements, the magnitude of the integrated heat flux peaked at the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio, with an approximately linear decrease on either side of stoichiometric. Advancing the spark generally increased the magnitude of the integrated heat flux.

So with the EPA approved system the bike will continue to run its hottest due to the 14.67 AFR. Running leaner than 14.67 will run cooler but crappy. Running 13.5-14.4 will run bit cooler and a bit happier.
My experience anyway,
Bob
