It had better! If you get a new M8 and test it, it is always going to show Knock retard. This is what I tried to explain above. The system has preset the learned retard so it is going to show that it is removing spark. This is how it works. Over time if it doesn't knock it will slowly learn the retard back down to "0". This is why I told you to ride it for 1000 - 1500 miles to allow it to learn.

I was just wondering if it affected how you guys approach jobs, unless that was where you meant It had better

If the tuning person doesn't address it properly the outcome is not going to be very good and that was the purpose for the"It had better" comment
