Default VE difference

My last bike I used the FP3 however on my new bike 2018 ultra limited 107 M8 I went with the SE tuner. I've installed V&H power duals and 4.5 High output exhaust with a stage one SE.

I have now ran a few runs to gather data and allowed the SE tuner each time to set the recommend tunes. My question is should there be such a large difference between front and rear cylinders?

Thanks

Due to the 45 degree engine configuration, the firing pulses are not evenly spaced. This and the fact that exhaust header lengths vary between cylinders, add up to varying fuel requirements for each cylinder. Other factors including mfg tolerances of the heads as well as injector flow rate differences factor in the requirements as well.

Thanks for the explanation I’m trying to learn more about adjusting the tune manually without hurting the motor.

Also remember, air cooled motor, you want the rear cylinder to be just a tad richer than the front for extra cooling.

The only way the VE's would be equal would be f there was the same exact amount of air entering each cylinder, and the injectors were matched exactly. The red and green cells are "maxed" out for the Street Tuner, there's not much more you can do even though the engine probably wants more.

you will get more control if you use a different tuner,,,PV or TTS. the issue is warranty coverage....a tough choice with a brand new bike. talk to your dealer and see if they will work with you if you use a different product, i know there are issues that the motor company will not deal with if you use a non hd product in this area.

The guy has already technically blown warranty coverage with the head pipe change.
