Other Devices: Setting idle with an FP3

Here's a copy of the OEM Idle RPM table displayed through the FP3 App on my laptop, which shows hot idle set at 850rpm. I'm wondering what your bike is currently idling at since you want to lower it to above the OEM hot idle setting? I've noticed in the M8 Softails that when the EITMS is enabled, RPM's will increase to around 960 as it cuts the rear cylinder in an attempt to cool down the motor, which sounds more pleasing than it did in past model years.
To check you settings, navigate to the Map Optimizations menu, and select the Idle RPM button. If the EITMS is enabled and you'd like to disable it, there's a few ways to accomplish this, but the easiest is to roll the throttle forward and hold it for a few seconds. The Cruise Control light on the speedo will flash either orange (disabled) or green (enabled) and releasing the throttle and rolling forward for a few more seconds will toggle the next option. If the FP3 App is already open, it might be quicker to enable/disable the EITMS from the System Switches menu under the General portion from the View/Edit Maps menu. That being said, the purpose of the EITMS is to keep the bike from getting too hot and protect the motor, so I tend to recommend leaving it enabled.
Hope this helps,
