Wanted: Leather Holster maker for special project
Looking for someone local that is a motorcycle rider and/or a heavy leather holster maker, that can make a holster to hold a 6 3/8" dia X 1" high H-D Jiffy Stand puck as shown in the sketch below.
My suggested design to suit my rear saddlebag guards
Living here in Central Florida, I have had to park my bike in soft sand on more than one occasion. My H-D puck is now carried in my saddlebag which is hard to get to while trying to keep the bike's jiffy stand from sinking into the sand allowing the bike to fall over. Would like to be able to easily reach the puck while still seated on the bike.
This "holster" would be hung just in front of my left saddlebag on the rear saddlebag guard. The holster must mechanicallyt attach to the rail (i.e.; the heavy duty snaps) since it can not be slid on. The holster needs to be able to drain as it could collect water in a heavy rain and needs an easy open closure strap as shown. The sketch above is only a suggestion as to how it is to be constructor.
Any one interested in making this holster for me please PM me.

Go to this site http://leatherworker.net/forum/ . Scroll down to the motorcycle forum and you can for sure find someone to make it. Some really quality items on display as well.

Just wanted to say thank you to those who replied.
There is a guy relatively close to me, in a little town called Oak Hill on Rte 1 just south of Edgewater, Charlie Dean Custom Leather and Saddle Repair that does beautiful work. Julie from Wind Walker Motorcycle Outfitters in Oak Hill refered me to him.
He is a MC rider and is very accomodatiing to the Riding Community. He is making the puck holster for me at a VERY VERY reasonable price and will have done in less than a week. Prices on the Andrews Leather Website and other sites I looked at, were many times more costly than what Charlie is charging me.
He showed me some custom Gun Holsters and MC seats he does out of Saddle Leather, not upulstery leather. The designs and details were out of this world. Did not discuss price, but I'll bet it ain't to bad for the kind of work he does.
For anyone who may be interested his address and phone numbers are:
157 E. Halifax Ave. PO Box 853, Oak Hill, Fl. 32759
(228) 363-3624 & (321) 626-2251
His place is less than a 1/4 mile off Rte-1.
I'll follow up with pics next week.

Conclusion to this thread
Here is the pic's pf my H-D Jiffy Stand Puck Holster.
Custom made Puck Holster mounted on left side Saddlebag Guard. Even has an H-D embossment.
Easily accessed while still straddleing the bike.
Inconspecuous and does not interfere with Passenger foot
Top view.
Constructed very close to my design of Quality saddlebag leather dyed black to match saddlebags. Very nicely stitched together. Actually required some hand stitching.
Very quickly completed for $65. I don't think that price can be beat.
I really think this will be a plus the next time I'm forced to park in some soft sand.

Probably could make it, but not worth the effort for what he charged me. It is a simple design, but it nicely matches my very exspensive Leatherpro Saddlebags in both looks and quality.
What is a CA guy doing poking around on a Florida Classified section????
