It's looking like this might be the bike. I got an insurance quote and was surprised how much higher than my sporty. I think I need to shop around for a better price.
If the wind isn't too bad tomorrow I'm gonna give it a test ride. Weatherman is saying 20-30 for wind. but there are some tree lined roads that I can ride.
After riding the negotiation begins!

Just got off the phone with Eddy, he told me about Lucky U Cycles just south of Leesburg. Checked their web page. decent price on a 12 limited, same color, 2000 miles more than the one here but cheaper. Eddy said he'd bring his truck down and load my sporty and bring it home for me.

Lucky U are good people, but call first regarding anything you see on their web page. They used to be notorious for not updating it. Good people though. Good luck with your endeavors

Here is the scoop on todays visit...

The color looked better than I thought it did from the pix they sent me.
It has an ipod plug.
It has the mount and connections for GPS.
It has extra LED lights....
brake, turn, spots...it was well lit.
It had a ding on the front fender.
The bottom of the engine was damp from oil. (same miles as my sporty, but my sporty is dry).
I did not do a test ride because the roads were wet and the wind was blowing 20-30 and I wouldn't be able to get a feel for the bike.
They were asking 14.5 and I told the guy that I was thinking 13 on this bike.
The next words he asked was .....
13??? how did you come up with that?
I didn't even respond. I just sat there....(he who speaks first loses)
He prints out a NADA page with 15.2 and tells me that average and they are asking less.
Yeah, no.....13.......for this bike.....dent, oil leak.......I stood up, stuck out my hand to shake and said...Sorry if I wasted your time...and he said he'd talk to his manager.
He goes to his manager.....get this. he has been with Adamec for years and has plaques on the wall for salesman of the year for the last 5 years.
the manager comes out and tries to get me up to 13.750. Not with a dent and oil leak. find the GPS that goes on the mount and call me....I might come up a little.
He said because the bike came over from another Adamecs in town, they would see if it came with the bike on trade.
Hated to tell the man I'd only come up to 13,150 if they found it....
Oh, I did tell them I had a lead on a '12 limited with 2k miles more and they were asking less.

 

Low miles. Cheaper. Probably too far for you to travel...but let ADAMEC see this one.
