Jim's HD in St Peterburg sold
 

Jim's HD closed it's doors Friday when the owner, Jamie, retired. They reopened today as "Bert's Barracuda HD". I guess Bert is the same guy that owns the HD shop down in Pt Charlotte. Looks like they are going to have music, free food, and more events on weekends.

Yeah I was in there today. Still have a ton of Jim's HD T-shirts and none that say Bert's. Shirts not on sale yet. Fair amount of bikes, and a keg on tap. We will have to see how it turns out.

"Bart's Barracuda HD?" What kind of a name is that? I wonder if they'll have a big marlin out front. Would make about as much sense as Harley Davidson of Brandon having a wooden Indian at the front door. But hell, I'm at HDOB every Sat. for hot dogs, popcorn and cokes. Yep, that's what my life has been reduced to - free hot dogs and soady pops at the dealership. Life sucks.

Don't know Bart, but if its Bert, he's the same guy that owns Black Widow HD in Port Charlotte. He is a great guy, I assure you if its like Port Charlotte, they will always have something going on. Bands, Rides, and great deals on Bikes. First thing he did in Port Charlotte, he put a beer tapper right in the middle of the show room. Must be a good guy to work for, just about everyone from the General Manager, to the sales folks have left Six Bends to work for him in Port Charlotte.

It is Bert, damn auto-correct. I hope you're right Beak, it's the only dealer in the county still.

Yeah Bert completely turned the Port Charlotte dealer around, and gave me a great deal on my 16 RGS.
