My service manual calls for only an oil change at 5k as far as fluids go. I went Mobile 1 for $30, grabbed a new filter at Harley for I believe around $10, and bought a tube of Harley lube for my cables.

Service manager said just to keep your receipts for the stuff you buy to show you did it. I took it a step further by taking short video clips of the mileage and me putting oil in. Can't deny that.

I've had 3 cars, did all my own service from day 1, and was never questioned on warranty issues.

I take a pic of the receipt in front of my products. Then I keep a digital file of the service and also print out a copy to be placed in my bike folder. I also keep a log of any accessories I install (Date / Mileage)

Typically when I leave South Florida and head to California I just take I-10 (I know boring) all of the way across and then pick up I-8 to go down to San Diego.

A friend of mine lives there and another one about an hour north.

Of the USA 4 corners, going from the southeast corner to the southwest corner is (yawn) the most boring.

Once I pop down to the twisted sisters in Leaky Texas which was fun especially when it was thundering LOL!

But honestly that is the most boring.

I guess if you really get stuck for service, as you are making a case not to use Alligator Alley I found that Steel Knuckle in West Palm Beach (UKLauren Toby about them) they have done a fantastic job at a fair price.

I have not used Alligator Alley yet, PBHD cut me a good deal for my last service and tires. There is also V Twin City in Ft Lauderdale. It's worth shopping around.

White Knuckle Engines in Davie has always been good to me. Extremely well skilled independent shop. Excellent work at a fair price.
