Default Brevard Co. Wreaths Across America run

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in escorting Wreaths Across America trucks from Wal-Mart in Palm Bay to Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims for the Wreaths Across America Ceremony.

Join other volunteers, Veterans, Active Duty Military and their Families escorting the Wreaths on their final leg by placing a Wreath at 1 of 1,150 participating National Cemeteries and Veteran Monuments across America.

All motorcycles are welcome and Flag Bikes are strongly encouraged (mounted 3 X 5 American Flag). All other vehicles (cages) wanting to participate in the escort are requested to have an American Flag (window flag if possible) to identify them as part of the escort.

According to our WAA representatives, PGR Flag Bikes will lead the escort, followed by PGR non-Flag Bikes, followed by Veteran Organizations, followed by independent riders followed by cages.

Upon arrival at CCNC, we will assist in unloading the trucks, participate in the WAA Ceremony with a Flag Line, and then participate in placing Wreaths on our Hero's grave's.

If you are not participating in the escort, proceed directly to the cemetery and join us in the ceremony.

Note this is a two part mission. Part 1 is an LEO escort from Palm Bay to CCNC in Mims. Part 2 is the WAA ceremony at CCNC.

Note: If you are going to attend the escort, please email or text the Part 1 Ride Capt. and let him know, so he can coordinate a bike count with the LEO to help them determine their resource requirements for the escort.

Flag Bikes are strongly encouraged. This is a long distance escort at highway speeds, so ensure your mounted flag bike are secure and capable of highway speeds.

Please bring your 3 X 5 American Flags for the Flag Line at CCNC.

We are doing ours from Ft Pierce Walmart to the National Cemetery in Lake Worth on Friday Dec 15th. It's an early start from Palm Beach HD (around 6am) then ride up to Ft Pierce, escort the trucks and then unload all the wreaths. If anybody wants more info IM me.

I don't think I saw anyone else mention this. I would like to encourage my fellow vets, especially PGR, to consider also seeking out the local American Legion and see if they have an American Legion Riders chapter. We cover more ground through an enhanced exposure to the needs of the veteran community.
