Road debris.
I don't know how it is in the rest of the state but as of late I've noticed that the road surfaces have been getting pretty trashy around Hillsborough County. Intersections, line divider areas and road shoulders are just littered with nuts, bolts screws and bits of metal that are like magnets to tires and hazardous to riders if kicked up by cars in front of us. Crash scenes also are not being cleaned up as well as in the past. At some impact sites the trash isn't even picked up and and completely removed. The larger pieces are shoveled up but the glass and smaller pieces get left laying in the road. Leastways that's what I've been seeing when out and about. Be careful out there.

Not just in Florida. At a lot of intersections there are many "islands" of nuts and bolts, between the driving lanes, that seem to grow in size as the summer continues on. Most avoid them but some drive right through them spreading them back into the driving lanes. Kinda scary at times. Ride safe cause there is lots of stuff out there that not paying any attention to you.
