Say what?

JAX? You said you are coming to Florida. JAX is still considered a northern state. Yet, someplace around Long Island like the other chap said.

A good place to meet locals? Wait a minute, let me think…

Nope, that is south of Jacksonville.
Nope, that is also south of Jacksonville.

I have an idea, nope that is south of Jacksonville.

Okay, now I have it….nope that is south of Jacksonville.

Give me a minute to think….

Okay I have another place..........nope that is south of Jacksonville.

Then there is this place over at.............................nope that is south of Jacksonville.

Plus there really nice place over at..................nope that is south of Jacksonville.

Okay, now I have it..........nope that is south of Jacksonville.

The best place I can think of is................................................ ......nope that is south of Jacksonville.

Do you mind asking in easier question?

I know you are new here but something a whole lot easier okay? And not silly like thinking you are in Florida. You are soooooooooooooo not in Florida.

And 'juss so you know, UKLauren (the gal I LOVE LOVE LOVE asked forme to give this to ALL the new people who find their way to the FLORIDA forum secion...........

Okay, now what is your next question….?

Eddy (Jaxharleyrider) is in Jax and knows probably every street in Florida and south Georgia. Get with him when you move to our area, just don't do the swamp ride in the middle of summer. It's a couple hundred miles of flat road that does a huge circle around the Okeefenokee swamp in Ga. It has a few stops for site seeing and can take as much as 5 or 6 hours, or as much as all day.
Ride to Fernandina? 3 hour round trip if you don't stop. Take the back roads and the ferry (at least once). It can be an all dayer if you stop in Fernandina and do the tourist thing. Oldest bar in Florida located here.
St. Augy ride. same as Fernandina, except there isn't much of a scenic route without going the long way. Well, isn't that why we ride? Go the long way! 3 to 4 hour round trip without stopping, all day if you do the tourist thing. 2 days if you want to do all the stuff the tourists do. Excellent conch fritters at the Florida Cracker Cafe.
Earls hideaway in Sebastion 6 hour round trip riding time on the flattop. This bar/grill reminds me of Gilligans Island. Just make a post a few weeks in advance and several of the crew will more than likely meet up with you.
Fl. Crew rally is in November. It will be in Palatka and is an hour and a half from Jax. Anywhere between 40 and 80 show up. Lots of riding happens. Lots of socializing in the evenings. Show up and bring things for the drawing. You will love it!

Buzzcap7 is right as far as meetups with the crew. I believe 2 live in Ormond Beach a couple hours ride south. Jaystronghawk lives an hour and a half west, but the greatest majority are 3 or more hours south of Jax (almost georgia chapter) Quite a few live in the "almost Cuba chapter". and quite a few live around Tampa.

Probably the most famous biker bar in Jax. The Bayard Rooster.

VT&B
Let me know when you're moved in. I'm in Palm Coast (about an hour south) and have been exploring since I got here in October. I ride most Sat / Sundays (weekday evening local putts) and would be happy to ride with ya.
