My wife took her class just about 2 years ago after riding on the back for 8 years
She was nervous, stressed you name it
When she got to the class she was the only girl in a class of 10 people
She was the only one with NO experience
5 mins in she wanted to quit just because she felt out of place
I had dropped her off so if she left she was walking home
After day one she was hooked and was talking my ear off about all she had learned
Day two was a downpour all damn day
She toughed it out and in the end when they were handing out the certificates and posted the scores, she was tops in her class
Your girl is going to do fine, she's nervous because she respects the bike and thinks she can't handle it, she can, the instructors will work with her and get her comfortable and she'll do better than she thinks right now
Just get get ready to start looking for a good bike for her
Mine started out on a Yamaha 650 vstar silverado which was a great starter bike, then after 1.5 years and a couple thousand miles she upgraded to her fat boy
Your girl is gonna do great!

I took the class a few years back. There were 3 gals under the age of 25 that had not only not
ever been on a motorcycle but, never even driven a car with a standard tranny. I was very skeptical about these 3 even making it to the end of the class. Long story short. They all picked up the basic skills and did a great job of passing the course.

My wife is in the same boat, she takes hers in 2 weeks. Today however we put her on her own softail I just bought her and a good friend taught her about the controls and friction zone. We then put her on a trike and let her get used to the clutch a little. Now she is more nervous than she was last night. She wonders what she will do if she doesn't like to ride. I told her she can still ride on the back of my Glide but I will keep that softail and ride by myself!
