Have you eaten at Robinson before? We went there last summer and it was awful. Even the Tea sucked. The one and only time I have been there though.

 

Really, I know Carl and Eve personally and I will say it has been awhile since I've been there. When I go there I typically pick out what I am going to eat and Eve cooks it. Can't get any better than fresh like that.

Everything was awful. No one enjoyed their meal. Maybe we hit it on an off day. I got some crab cakes that were like hockey pucks. Hard as a rock and they tasted like cardboard smells. Jay and Wade were with me. Can't remember who else. We had to go down to the store to get some cheese and crackers to wash the taste away.

 

Yeah I was on that ride too. Food was not good, kinda bland and what taste it had left a nasty after taste in my mouth. But that is the one and only time I have been there.

I read trip advisor , if you can trust that source, and overall the rating is good.

On the other hand I guess any restaurant can have a bad day. The day you guys were there maybe Eve wasn't in the kitchen. When I see them I'll talk with them.

When I was in north Georgia in Jasper, this BBQ joint was all dressed up with trophys, plaques, etc that it was the best BBQ in competition for over the last 5-6 years.

I ate there, the service was good, the food was less than crap! I thought maybe they had a bad day of cooking? How could they be so over rated and their BBQ sucked?

I am concerned that you guys had a bad meal and I will talk to to them about that.

I would give them a 2nd crack at it, as have got good seafood there before but another repeat of the last time was there .. No way I'll ever be back ..

 

I would give them a second try. But it will have to be something like the group ride I was on before. I am not going to go all that way by myself just to see if the one time was a fluke. The only reason I chimed in was to back up what Dave said, because I was on that ride with him and remembered the same way.
