When I say "you" I'm talking about other people not you in particular. I don't know why you (people) can't do both. Like I said I'm not going to wave if there is some danger anywhere around me. It's not mandatory, just a simple acknowledgement to a fellow rider - that's all.

Scoot is the term I use for my Deuce ... If ya mean Vespa's and the ilk, I may sometimes wave back and chuckle if they initiate ...usually followed by a "ah bless your little heart"
they had a big following in Chicago at the espresso shops

They are on two wheeled motor vehicles.
We share a bond; FWIW I acknowledge and tip of the hat so to say.
Yet for bicycles taking up thoroughfare space, paying no registration, no turn signals, sidewalk parking, more effective political power (than the AMA for example) well....

Scooter is really no different than the bikes we ride. Two wheels and a motor. Just smaller. Great in the city. Head over to Europe and scooters out number larger motorcycle like crazy. Although most are not the little 100 CC ones we generally see here. The classic Vespa I kinda like.
Now those cheap Chinese electric ones are a different story. Nothing pisses me off more than a long line up of traffic following one of those doing less than half the posted limit
