Just got home from local college fastpitch game. Granddaughter got talked into playing this year. This afternoon was the alumni game. So no keeping score. Was fun watching the alumni teach the younger ladies how to cheat. Now preseason hockey game on the tv. Wild ahead 5-0 over the avalanche. Now 6-0.
Another day in farmland. Ok, maybe an hour. Nice family ride anyway, about 64 degrees. I'm looking forward to doing this with the Harley, took the sidecar brake cylinder apart today, looks like standard 5/8 rubber inside, nice and clean bore, just going to stick new rubber in it. It looks like one from an old jeep. Old ones probably would still work, but... probably original, too, 22 years old. I need to get new brake lines ordered, too, but don't want to take the time right now. I'm not even going to put the new back wheel on yet, want this on the road. My outer wheel race puller is supposed to get here next week, that's the major holdup now, if I don't run into something else.
Daughter did most of the driving. She hasn't ridden this one in two years, and did some good gear grinding at first. Urals are the worst shifting bikes I've ever ridden. Yeah, even worse than a Harley!
Evening Moldy. Gonna be another chilly night in the northland. Getting down in the 35-40 range again tonight. Will be 3 nights in a row that I kick the furnace on before I go to bed. Kinda early for that.
I turned the heat on last nite, 62 in the house was a bit chilly. Won't tonite, though, house solar warmed pretty good today with the ac off. Hope fall doesn't go quick into winter like its done a few times.
