Welcome! I got my Class M endorsement after taking a rider safety course at a local community college back the fall of 2014. I was having the same dilemma - what should I start with. I had never ridden a street bike before, just some trail bikes when I was a kid. I'm 6'1" and weigh in about 220. My instructor said - "Look - you have to get used to whatever you buy, but you also have to pay sales tax on everything you upgrade to".

You're big enough - just get the touring class. Road King, Street Glide, Road Glide, Ultra. You can get a used 14 or 15 for about 14K these days. They seem intimidating but after a couple thousand miles it's a piece of cake. I've put down about 24K since then and am so glad I started with the big bike, as I know I would have upgraded if I started of smaller.

Colin

This is not the forum for this question. But I will give my advice anyway. Get some experience before going too far in debt for your first motorcycle. Not everybody likes the experience, especially in an area such as Phoenix.

It doesn't matter how big a build you have, the road and cages won't be impressed/intimidated.

6’1” and 295?
Go straight to the street glide. You are one inch taller but 100lbs more than me, you got it.
I wonder how I ever got along without it.
