My Dad died at 61, Mom at 64....there were no later years, Stan. Sadly, my dad suffered from emphysema for about the last 5 and it was sad to see. Cancer took my Mom in less than a year.
Sad Mick, sorry to hear. Now I better understand your previous comment.

It's OK, Stan. I was always taught before you say something you should walk a mile in the other man's shoes...the problem is they can never hear ya from a mile away.

Yep. You know all in all I'm looking at a pretty good investment in time with them moving forward but I don't want to sound like an ungrateful son, because I'm not. I look at it as paybacks.
Hey, you got a nearly nekkids you could post up? LOL

Stan, my folks have been gone since '94 and '98 respectively. I often catch myself wondering how they would be and what life would be like for them if that were not the case.
Dad only made it to 73, cancer, and since then there have been so many things I wish he could have seen, especially his great grandchildren. Even things you'd never think would make you sad they missed it, like the Band of Brothers cable series; he was on that front line, a few companies south of the one in the series. He complained a few times that war shows/movies weren't even close to realistic, would have been interesting to see how he felt about that one. Mom lasted longer, but other than the great grandkids, don't think much happened since that would have been real interesting to her, she enjoyed life in a pretty low key way.
