I wonder if I should try to get some snow off the trailers. The enclosed one also has about 1500 lbs of bikes in it. I don't know if a couple months with the weight that one and the open top one has would affect the springs. Probably not, common thing for far north trailers. Plus, I'd have to get on a ladder for the big one, and really don't want to do that in the slick stuff.

They were going to open one about 4 miles from me, but canceled supposedly because they thought the parking and traffic at that spot wouldn't work for them. Darn it, best chili dog around here is Dairy Queen, wouldn't mind better than that, although theirs isn't all that bad.

Seeing as how it just stopped snowing here a few minutes ago, I don't think you're finished yet. If this is the end and not just a pause...

Several years ago must have had a new guy on the plow, came down the street, across the cul de sac circle and straight to the end of my driveway, pushed 8-10' of snow almost 3' deep into my driveway. Thought they'd probably blow me off, but called the city anyway and a truck came out and cleared my drive a few minutes later. Got lucky on that one. Sometimes a driver will angle the blade inward and I don't get a big pile at the drive's end, but sometimes it's angled out, and I get a big ridge of heavy salt laden snow even the blower struggles with.

Yeah, not unusual to have a strip of dead grass next to the curb in spring. When I worked, car would carry enough up the drive it'd kill some grass on the edges. Garden's well beyond any salt.

No choice, I live in a village next to a school. It must be removed within 24 hours or they will remove it for me and charge me what I paid for my snow thrower.
