It goes under the ties.
That way you don't catch your hair in the knot when you tie it on.

The two ties go under your chin so it don't blow off going down the road.

Ya know those "already-made" do rags that tie in the back and have a flap (sort of a tail) at the back botoom?

Does the "flap" go under or over the two ends that tie together?
It goes in front and wraps around the bridge of your sunglasses so that they don't fly off.The other ends you stuff into your ears so that the wind noise doesn't deafens you. You can also use it to wrap around your grips so the vibrations does not mess up your manicure. Next time ask the young lady at the counter for instructions.

make sure you wear it according to the users manual, if ya dont it will void the warranty! No modifications also, you better follow the washing instructions too. I believe the users manual says under, that a way your hair wont be in the knot.
