Just curious. When I refuel my Street Glide I put the cap upside down on the pump. When my wife refuels her Fatboy she puts it upside down on her seat so she doesn't scratch the top.

 

In my back pocket

 

On my saddle bag. or in my mouth.

 

Upside down on the seat,the safest place.

 

On my high side floorboard.

 

On top of the pump.

I hold it in my left hand and use it to catch any gas drips, when I remove the nozzle.
I'm always in a rush. If I put it on the pump, I'd probably ride off without it.

On the seat. I've seen too many left on the pump.

 

I usually grab a paper towel and put it on the pump.
