Default Scooter Trash

Starting to see big groups of scooter riders on the road. They look kinda menacing...carrying around concealed iPads and Blackberries...wild packs of young attorneys, CPA's (and their OL's and OM's). Totally took over one of the Starbuck's formerly held by the local OMG's.

They get together around here and "parade" through the city. Local news actually did a story on them. Our locals are more of a grunge, hippy, yuppy type group. Very menacing, probably planning their next socialist movement.

'Scooter Trash' is actually synonymous with the term 'biker trash'....which is a term of affection with most people who've led the two-wheeled lifestyle (in one of its many various manifestations). I think most of us are quite happy to see anybody enjoying themselves on two wheels.

Yup,have to agree, but add bicyclists, joggers, and dog walkers, should not be out on certain roads, even more scary out on these roads at night or during bad weather.Too many times now there have been close calls.Pray that is all it will ever be.

That reminds me. When I was in Italy (the army) in the late 70's, most of the young Italian "hip" crowd road Vespas all around. Man, they would play the part, all dudded out in a ridin' get up. We would call them, "Vesparados". Funny as ****. Blastin all around town tryin' to be all badass.

But.....man did they usually have some hammers on the back....woooohoooo them Italian wimins...

But, I guess ya gotta use what ya got. Harley....Vespa.... who knows.

In London scooters and learner riders outnumber regular qualified big bike riders (and by big I mean 500cc upwards) massively, probably something like ten to one. Even amongst couriers, most are learners on little bikes.

Scooters probably outnumber Harley's by hundreds to one.

They're like a bunch of boys named Sue. Hell, you gotta be a hard-*** to ride a scooter in public.

Well, as pom elluded to, that's pretty much the norm there. With all that traffic, tight city streets made form old time cart paths, those scooters get around pretty well in all that mess.
