Rider's wave: Who DON'T you put out a hand to?
Here in Florida, it seems perfectly normal for bikers to wave at EVERY other biker. I'm perfectly fine with acknowledging a person on a 900RR, or a Victory...or whatever.
I DO NOT acknowledge scooters!!! My wife sitting on the back doesn't get it!
Who won't you extend a hand to?

I agree, however I have noticed those with "ape hangers" don't. I am not sure if it is a safety thing or if they are too good.

I wave to everybody on a bike and some cars. I don't care what make or size. It's just a common courtesy. I have noticed most of the guy's who don't wave are the cool dudes riding harley's. You can easily spot them. They have the bike all decked out with loads of stuff. Have their little beanie hat's that looks too small for their heads. Got their I'm bad expression going...lol.

This morning, I waved to guy on a scooter with training wheels or whatever you call the rig with two extra wheels. I was proud of myself for being nice.

I don't wave to scooters either. Once I saw a guy riding a scooter in complete leathers. Not just leathers, but the leathers with the funky tassels hangin. Chaps and jacket.... Funny stuff.
I don't mind waving at anyone - some don't wave back, whatever. I will say though, the ones that wave on the interstate..... That's just annoying. If im doin 80, the last thing I am paying attention to is the OTHER side of the road. If I pass a biker going the same direction on the interstate, I'll wave as I pass, but not when there is a 50 yard median in between. haha

I personally wish this waving thing would stop. It gets old real quick when you live in an area with alot of bikes.
PS - I do wear a black beanie helmet, ride a black Street Glide, and usually have an unhappy look on my face, so maybe I just want to look like a badass? Hey, it's my dream. Let me live it (until I give off the bike, then I'm a wimp again.)

I wave at just about everyone, then you get a snob on a bike and I second guess my self, should I wave at the next guy?? For the most part a lot of the cruiser style bikes around here will wave back, doesn't matter what brand. Some of the crouch rocket guys don't wave, they must think they are to quick and agile for us. Waving is just our way of saying, I see you out there and have a good ride. After all it is all about being on two wheels.
