Default Rat Bobber

Last night, on my way home (it was already dark) as I was sitting at a light a rat style bobber pulled up along side me in an adjoing lane. No front or rear fender, slammed and rumbling along like a beast waiting to be released. I couldn't quite make out what it was but it sure did sound purty!

Well, this morning, on the way into work, guess what I happened to spot? It was the mysterious rat bobber. Turns out that it is on old Triumph, stripped, lowered and souped up. It had a single skinny tail pipe slung underneath the center frame, center controls and it sounded great.

Really brings back a lot of memories!

You can do anything with the old Triumph's and they will be great, as long as you can do your own work and love to tinker.

exactly, My cousin has some neighbors/riding buddies that own some triumph bobbers and choppers and they always all go out for rides together and every ride ends the same way, something either falls off/doesn't work right/ or one of the bobber ends up getting towed back home.

That being said, my cousin no longer likes to ride with them as much now.

This is not a bash at Triumphs, this is more a bash at bad triumph rat bike builders who swear by their bike yet it never seems to do them right....

My '72 Tiger was the most reliable bike I've ever owned--would've taken it to the moon & back if I could!

Love seeing old rat bikes on the road, no matter what make or model...

Back when I started riding in the 60's that was about all that a lot of guys could afford, didn't see a lot of fancy paint or chrome...

I have a thing for the rat style, basically because I can't afford the big buck paint or chrome! LOL
I built my bike in my garage with that in mind, lo buck, used parts from various years, and a lot of cheap peanut butter!! Parts range from 1984 to 2008 and the state of Indiana titled it as a 2011! Gotta love it!
It's mine and paid for!

I have a lot of fun whenever my '68 Triumph ridged is running. It's why I bought a trailer.

PS That's the day I bought it. The Harley medallion was removed. It makes a better wall hanger than a Triumph ornament.

I do enjoying answering "what year is that" with "2011".
