Don't take these knuckleheads too serious, they have spent too much time on the forums and seen TOO many waving threads. Sounds like a cool experience for you and it sounds like you are enjoying riding. Carry on.

Waving is dangerous! The cage behind you might hit their binders thinking your signaling a left turn or the cage in the left lane may think you are going turn into them which will cause them to lay on the horn, causing you to **** yourself.

It is is much safer (and less messy) to kick your legs out and make circular motions with your feet.
