When I happen to notice my rear tire while the bike was up on the jack. I bought this rear tire on Aug. 28th, 2010, I now have 10,134 miles on it. I have read where people were say'n they got 13,000/15,000 out of the Dunlop E3, so I thought I would ask, "ya think I can squeeze out another 3,000 or should I replace it now ???? Maybe a poll....

1.Try to get another 3,000 to 5,000 miles out of it..
2. Replace immediately

Nows the time for a good old fashion locked front brake power burn off , all that thread will help it break loose faster .:icon_banana:

It still holds air doesn't it? No need to throw away a perfectly good tire.

This can't be the first time you noticed that you need a tire - I would hope.

It's fine, should last another 3-5 K. It's not like it's like that all the way around and lots of tread near the sidewalls, so just do a lot of leaning.

You still have thread on the outsides don't you? If you lower the air pressure you will ride the outside of the thread vs the middle that is warn-out and then get that 2-3,000 more miles that you were referencing. Let us know how that works for you.

Tire

When in doubt, replace it. That tire is done but you might get 3,000 more out of it but what if you only get 2,800 and it happens at a bad time ? Your life and your family depends on your decision.https://www.hdforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon6.gif
