My First Close Call
Just started riding, and while riding down PCH in California, almost got side swipped by a lady driving a Mercedes not watching where she's going. Got a little angry and yelled at her, all she did was roll up her window.

You stay in the saddle for any length of time and you will have many of those. If you are lucky, they will "only" be close calls.
But don't count on it, you know what they say, "it's not IF, it's When".... http://www.flickr.com/photos/74733525@N06/6870608275/http://www.flickr.com/photos/74733525@N06/6870608275/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/74733525@N06/, on Flickr |
Was it a white station wagon?

You have a long row to hoe. Hope that you have nothing but near misses and you learn something from each one.

"Was it a white station wagon?"
Interesting question, for me I really don't have much memory of it. I do remember the last thought I had just before I hit was "oh sh*t".... |
Glad you came out unscathed, but as others have said you will have many more close calls and unfortunately you may even have a few direct hits. Ride long enough and far enough and it's almost inevitable.

Wow glad your ok

A few months back had a cage run a light at intersection I was passing through. Passed right in front of my front end at about 20 mph. Kind of spooked me for a few days when going through green lights thinking what that could have done had I been 10 feet further into the intersection.
