Feedback on Hartman Cycles
It's been 4 years since I originally asked the question, but I did take everyone's advice and want to pass on my experience with Hartman Cycles.
I've done all my general maintenance since getting the bike. I'm your average Harley owner in terms of miles ridden ( I average about 2,400/year). At the end of last season I knew my tires were OK but not great, and decided to get them replaced before Spring '18. In December I stopped at Hartman to check them out. I spoke with Kraut and Shane. Both were friendly, informative, and gave me a tour of their shop.
2 1/2 weeks ago I dropped off my bike and yesterday I picked it up. I had them do a 10k service, new tires and brake pads, and a dyno tune. All went great.
Most notably, was their honestly. The bike has a stage 1 and a canned map. I thought a proper dyno tune might be in order. Shane thought I might need a better tuner and I gave him the OK to replace mine. When I got there Kraut and Shane told me that after an initial dyno test the bike was fine with the set up I have, and that a dyno tune might have squeaked out 1 or 2 more ponies but they felt it wasn't worth the money so they held off. They could have easily done the work and charged me, but they didn't! There was a small charge for the dyno test. That honesty saved me OVER $600 and earned them all of my future business!
IT'S GREAT TO KNOW THAT HONEST HARD-WORKING PEOPLE ARE STILL OUT THERE!
THANK YOU HARTMAN CYCLES!
