Does anyone know of a GA "get-a-way" spot on a like?

Like a LODGE. Someplace to go and just do nothing.

Most GA State Parks have lodges (actually cottages) that can be rented. The latest fad is Yurts. Sweetwater Creek State Park has lots of them and I hear good things about them. We camp in GA State Parks a lot with a popup and I've got to say that I haven't had a bad experience yet, as far as the facilities, upkeep, cleanliness, etc is concerned.

Cabins to rent. Beautiful lake. Pontoon rental.

Or right across the lake is Hickory **** State Park in McCormick SC. Which is actually the better place to stay.

And yes I realize it is an old thread but you still read it.
