Flag Mounts
There is a lot of old information with dead links to pictures on here. how about a new thread with your flag mounts!
What works for you?
Do you fly on the interstate with your setup?
Big or small lets see what you have.
I am cheap so I am building a receiver mount setup for my Electra Glide. I will post pics after I get it put together and mounted.

I've seen various types of mounts for those bikes that have a luggage rack on the back. I can take pics at the next mission I ride if that is helpful.
My bike has a solo seat and nothing behind it for mounting a flag. I had to take a different route. Since I don't carry passengers the rear pegs are not utilized for anything. Mine are aftermarket and about 1 1/4" in diameter. I bought some 1 1/2" PVC pipe, cut to my desired length and drilled with some holes to accommodate my hookups. I needed something I could put on and off my bike quickly. It takes me less than a minute.
I use 3/8" eye bolts that pass through the PVC as attachment points. I use tie down straps that I bought in blue to match my bike. The straps I cut to my desired length. To prevent my pegs from "splaying" outward with the weight and wind resistance of the flags, I have one strap that goes across my seat and connects the two flap poles. I sit on the strap.
The PVC has now been decorated with red, white, and blue duct tape to be a bit more colorful and patriotic. Hey, my dad called it 90 mile per hour tape so I figured it would hold up to freeway speeds. So far it's been fine. When we have a mission that hits the freeway we rarely go over 65mph and my rig has been just fine.
My flags are 2 1/2 feet by 4 feet. Sometimes I have two smaller flags that I zip tie to my mirrors.

Take a look at what rivcoproducts.com sells & build your own. Their mount is very simple & works. But if you want to use the slide in adapter they use it starts to cost.
If you just build one for the receiver it is quite simple. I used an aluminum angle for the cross piece & mounted tubes about a foot tall. A tube made from heavy walled exhaust tubing, or some stainless if you can find it 1-5/16" inside dia. Weld a 1/2" flat plate on the bottom with a 1/2" center bolt hole threaded.
But be sure to put a strap from the pole forward to the bike for support. Most use a strap with a hook on it to the bag mount. I have a Trike so I just use the mounts for the tour pac to the poles.
Just some ideas......
Ride safe.
