In reading the story, he was the Tail gunner in this mission - reads like the PGR was riding against the 'Red' ?

Was ths a sanctioned 'LEO' escort - meaning was a leo blocking the intersection? I am a retired FF with 35 years driving emergency rigs - going against a Red is one of the most dangerous things to do. Granted this Gager should have been alert but they did have the Green - Very sad the Tailgunner was killed. This is that kind of accodent that was avoidable.
I have been with PGR since 2010 - we tell our riders to obey all laws unless we have LEO controling an intersection -
