With Honor and Respect
I recently had a friend pass and while attending his funeral I was humbled by the volunteers from your organization for providing an escort. It was my first experience with folks from the PGR and I know my friend would have been proud to know you were there. We rode a lot of miles together over the years and shared some great road trips. While I will miss his companionship I am proud to have had him as a friend. He was 82, a proud American, Army veteran and still actively riding on two wheels with his wife always as his passenger. He and his wife did the 4 corners ride in 14 days as a celebration for his 80th birthday. His final ride was a somber day made a little easier knowing strangers cared enough to give of their time in a show of support. Thank you and God Bless you all.

Thank you for posting this. And thanks to your friend for his sacrifice he has made for this country ! Sounds like he loved the USA.
Prayers and condolences to his wife and family. The pain doesn't go away, but after a while it does become a bit more tolerable. May he rest in peace ! Sloufoot |
Thank you for sharing the photo and story of your friend. I am always immensely touched by the friends and family we meet in escorting their loved one.

Ultra, first condolences to you and your friends family. And thankful for his service. The title of your thread says what we are about. Honor and Respect for our Heroes. Since becoming a part of PGR I have been so Humbled and Honored to be a part. Please look in becoming a part of PGR. As Sarah said you will always be touched.
