Default houses for Vets

next week in Illinois there are a couple missions where the wounded or injured Vet gets a house.
Does anybody understand the mechanics of how the Vet house gets paid for ?
Sounds like a great charity and i would like to know where the money comes from and or how to contribute .
I would like to be smarter about the situation before i attend the mission.

I may be wrong but I think it's connected to Wounded Warriors Foundation

Homes for our Troops did a house for a Wounded Warrior in our area. It was amazing how it was set up. It was designed just for him and his injuries. We did Flag Lines for the Key Ceremony and the Homecoming. It was great to see the response.
