I have also, just recently, had the Immense Honor to stand a Flag Line and act as photographer for SPC Kristy Sexton US Army as she returned from Afghanistan. When she came up the ramp, to the accompanying cheers from family, friends and well wishers, there were NO dry eyes. SPC Sexton rode backseat on a Harley from Palm Beach International Airport to Jensen Beach (about 60 miles), escorted by 15 other cycles and several cars and trucks, where a huge Welcome Home party was being held at an ALR meeting hall.
Whether a sad occasion or happy, PGR duties ALWAYS leave a lump in my throat and tears on my cheeks.

The PGR is the most noteable group that supports our troops. I have belonged for awhile now and have gone on many missions of all types. I am glad that other groups exist to support our troops in many ways. I hope all have the pure motivation of letting these troops know they are cared about and respected for their service. God bless the USA and all who serve!!

Quote "That bunch of "Christians" was here in Lubbock a couple years ago to protest the funeral of one of our boys who died in Iraq."
I am sure you all know that this group are not christian. This is a cult. By know means, does the bible teach such doctrine.
Our Lord and creator loves our soldiers and stands behind what they do.
May God bless all of you...Thanks for what you do...

There's a couple of points I'd like to make. The PGR certainly began in order to deal with the UG's. As a rule, we never refer to the protestors by name, but rather call them uninvited guests or UG's. However, the PGR has evolved well beyond being a reaction to the UG's and from my point of view they are nearly irrelevent. UG's or no, we are there to honor our fallen heros and support their families. If the UG's fell off the face of the planet tomorrow, we will still be there doing our missions.
As a SR-RC with the Patriot Guard in Indiana and a member since 2005, my suggestion to anyone wanting to get involved is to register at the national web site, then Google for your state web site and get on their mailing list or calendar notification. I'd also suggest you contact the SR-RC for your area and see if they are maintaining a notification list. I do and it's used to keep people informed in strictly local missions.
