Default Removing license plate bar, and relocating plate below tail light

I'm in the process of making some brackets that allow the removal of the license plate bar. A friend of mine is making some brackets that relocate the plate below the tail light. He already has the test brackets on his bike, so if all goes good, I'll post some pics and give an update. (found a pic and added it to the post).

I'm making six extra sets of brackets for the license plate bar, CNC cut from 1/4" mild steel. I'm attaching the pics of the brackets fro the bar.

This is a mod I saw some other place, but I did not like the spot welded brackets that were used, thought a solid stock cut to fit would be stronger.

Trying to clean up the rear a little and give that different (custom) look to the rear of my Electra Glide.

It will look great. Fabbed the same setup for my 89' and run a Solo seat. The rear Fender will look freakin' awesome without all the crap on itto clutter it up.

The plate housing get's recessed LED's into the side. You can't even tell they are there, the light is directed onto the plate only.

When I get a better pic of the back of the bike (friends FLH), I'll put one up. Or, if I get mine put together by tomorrow, I'll post a pic of it.

Here are the pics of my bike and one of the bracket. I still need to add some bullet lights where the bar used to be. I think it looks much cleaner since I moved the license plate to the bottom. For the lic plate light I used a custom chrome frame and drilled four holes for the led's.

Why keep the stock tail light?
