Having major indecision with the choice of a new seat. I have an '07 Ultra with the "reach" handlebars and want a new seat for princess and I. I tried a Road Zeppelin on my '05 with the same bars and felt like I was up too high (I'm 5'6") so I ebayed it after about 200 miles. I have read on here that the Sundowner sets you up higher also ?

I like the looks of the Corbin, and have ridden friend's bikes with them on it - but they do not have the same bars. I felt like I was falling forward (the guy riding my bike said he felt like a manatee with his arm position.)

I guess my question is - Does anyone have these bars ? and what seat do you use with them ?

The wife is concerned she won't like the hardness (firmness) of the Corbin

Have you looked at the reach seat?

 

Yes, have looked at the reach seat, same as stock seat only lower (same paddding etc)

 

I'll bet Mustang makes something that'll work for you.

How do you like the reach hanlebars , what do they feel like?
I got the reach seat and did not like it, put it on, sat on it and took it right back off.
Going to sell it. I like the orignal seat........I just started a new thread asking about lowering mine. Want to know about other's
thoughts. I thought about the reach bars too. Please tell me all you can.

I have an 06 Ultra. Added Reach Bars and Lowered rear with lowering shocks. I also tried the Reach Seat and didn't loke it. I am happy now with thw stock seat. Forgot to add, I am also 5.6.

I like the bars. They come back about 2" closer to you. I'm able to have a slight bend in my arms and it makes it much more comfortable. I had them for 2 years on my last Ultra and missed them for the first few weeks before I get a set put on my 07 last fall. If you have fairing mount mirrors they would not be a good idea as they would block your view

 

Im putting on the reach bars and I have a sundowner seat....I like it

 

Let me know how you like the combo when you have your new bars on. Do you have an Ultra also ? If so do you have a pic of the bike with the Sundowner on it ?
