Now that I got a Daymaker, I'm thinking of selling it...
Not that impressed with the headlight; it is bright, however, it still doesn't give me that full-illuminated pattern I am looking for. The high beam doesn't really seem to be that much help. I have the projector-style.
Has anyone had a Daymaker and gone back to a halogen or HID or H4? http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...pskjkwxh7w.jpg |
you need the spots too. i had one on my dyna and it has strong cut off lines. you need the sides to fill the void.

Go for the Trucklite TL7 light. Those who have it, love it.

Try halogen spots and headlight. I think you will have all the light you need. Ignore all the hype about led's

Retrofit the spots, probably a good idea.

I had halogen spots on my 05 wideglide and could only get about 3000 miles out of them
the first hole I hit would take one out and at the time they were 60.00 a pop so I went back to regular bulbs. Had great light with them just could not afford them |
When I installed the Daymaker, I also put in the LED passing lamp bulbs (NOT DAYMAKER).

If you've only had it a short time, see if they'll let you exchange it for a Daymaker Reflector. Much better coverage than the Projector....and cheaper too.

What bulb would I get for halogen? Part number?
I use this one. Stupid amounts of light, but totally not DOT legal. Still, it lights up the road quite well. You also need a 12 dollar ceramic plug to withstand the extra heat of a bulb almost twice the power of the stock 55/60. Twenty bucks total. A set of ten dollar 896 bulbs in the spots add a bit of extra light as well. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/b...ps6ac8f293.jpg |
